VIDEO : Romanian president, Traian Basescu hits a child During the presidential campaign rally election dating back to 2004 the president of Romania slapped a child across the face with the back of his hand.

Traian Basescu admitted in a TV show that he did hit the child when he mentioned that he cannot remember exactly what happened but "The kid must have done something". Three hours later after the clip has been published on tv, President Traian Basescu has denied claims he hit a child at a campaign rally: "I have never hit a child in my life. I have never hit my wife, my children or other people".

Romanian people hope to change him in a few days when another election will take place.
